The toddler strut

It was all going so well.  Robert Kelly, a Professor in Pusan National University, an expert in his field, was speaking via webcam from his home in Korea about the serious topic of the impeachment of the Korean President.  Suddenly mid-interview his 4-year-old daughter Marion struts in with some serious moves oblivious to the fact her Dad is live on TV.

Kelly is alerted to her presence by BBC World interviewer James Menendez, who is clearly highly amused by the intrusion.  Kelly attempts to shift her stage left by blindly reaching out behind him but does nothing more than leave her sitting watching on.  He has been criticised for not just picking her up and carrying on but to be fair he was in work mode, not Daddy mode.  Every working parent will understand the delicate balance between role of serious professional and role as caring parent.
