Being on live TV is, no doubt, nerve-wracking for the non-media professional. With everything going on kudos has to go to Kelly for (mostly) retaining his composure. He managed to finish out the interview even though it is obvious he was dying inside. He must have known that this interview would be remembered for anything but his expertise on Korean political issues but he has given the world a laugh and let’s be clear we are laughing with him not at him. It is a highly relatable situation and is refreshing in a world of bad news stories to see such real life parenting struggles play out on live TV. Robert Kelly and your lovely family, we salute you!
