Emirates have been strongly promoting “Family Comes First” on their flights. Families board first and are definitely looked after on the flight. The children receive a pack that was inspired by Lonely Planet and encourages them to want to explore the world. Filled with a travel journal, magazine, coloured pencils and plenty of activities, they won’t run out of things to do anytime soon. If they need a break from writing or colouring, they can check out any one of the 100 in-flight games, 50 Disney films or any of the popular children’s TV shows on the onboard entertainment system. For those that are a bit nervous about flying, a cuddly Fly With Me Monster is waiting for them to make the journey a bit easier. If it is your child’s birthday, make sure to tell the airline ahead of time so they can make a cake for them and capture the moment with a picture for you to keep.
